Papaya fruit extract makes an effective, non-abrasive exfoliant. An enzyme in the fruit, papain, helps to remove impurities and slough away dead skin cells. Regular use of the ingredient is said to help to fade acne spots, scars, sun damage, and brightens the skin.

Recommended usage: 5 – 10%

Shelf life: 1 to 2 years

It can be added to lotions, creams, face toners, and haircare products.
