INCI Name: Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride
Cationic guar gum is an effective non-gelling thickener and viscosity enhancer.
It can boost foam when used together with surfactants.
It has additional conditioning effect due to the quaternary polymer structure as compared to regular guar gum.
It has a high pH. To thicken a solution that contains cationic guar gum, the pH should be less than 7.
